Ginkgo is an investment vehicle dedicated to the sustainable remediation of heavily polluted sites in Europe. It meets the environmental, economic and social challenges of brownfield site redevelopment in urban areas.
To successfully carry out its mission, Ginkgo has relied from the start on major founding partners who share a strong desire to accelerate the remediation and redevelopment of strategic urban real estate. The partners include the European Investment Bank, Edmond de Rothschild Group (CH), Caisse des Dépôts (FR), Société Fédérale de Participations et d’Investissement (B) and Société Régional d’Investissement de Wallonie (B), as well as other mutual funds and private investors.
Jardins de l’Orne s.a. was created as a subsidiary of the Gingko fund to implement the project in Mont-Saint-Guibert and Court-Saint-Etienne. It has successfully demolished and depolluted the site, financed the facilities and new buildings and is now selling them under the VAT scheme.
